Sri Lanka Consulate General in Karachi Hosts Vibrant Cultural Performances in Pakistan
The Sri Lanka Consulate General in Karachi, in association with the Sri Lanka Tourism Convention Bureau, presented a series of captivating cultural performances in Pakistan as part of ongoing efforts to promote Sri Lanka tourism in Pakistan.
The internationally renowned Sri Lankan dance troupe Chandana Wickramasinghe and the Dancers Guild of Sri Lanka, along with performances by Sonal Prabhashita and Mahesha Sandamali, and music by the Snaayu band, showcased the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka to the Pakistani audience.
Three events were held at Port Grand in June 2024, Art Council of Pakistan in Karachi and Alhamra Lahore Art Council in June 2024.
From traditional folk dances to contemporary fusion, the performances mesmerized audiences and aimed to foster cultural ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
